Welcome, New Homeowner!
The community wishes to extend a warm welcome and thank you for
choosing to make Marshall Heights your new home. This is a
quick reference page for the commonly asked questions for new
homeowners.
Trash and Recycling: pickup days for trash are Tuesday and Friday. Recycle
pickup is Friday. For more information, refer to the Trash & Recycling section.
Parking / Towing: Homes without a garage have one reserved parking
spot. Call Al's Towing (703) 790-1156 if you have been
towed.
Details can be found in the Towing section.
Association Assessments: Payments due quarterly. Part of this fee covers
landscaping of common areas (not your backyard), snow removal,
and trash/recycling pickup. In addition, association fees cover the ongoing cost for maintaining and replacing parking lots, sidewalks, retaining walls, doggy stations, street lights, and similar common property items. You are encouraged to sign up for the direct withdrawal option which eliminates the need to send quarterly checks. To find out more and see the current assessment rate, consult our Assessments section.
Mail service: Mailbox clusters are located on
each street. Get the mailbox number and key from the
previous homeowner. Unfortunately addresses are not on
displayed on the mailboxes. The closest post office is
the Pimmit Branch, which is in the shopping center across from
the Exxon on Route 7. The main post office that serves
our area is Falls Church Main Office. Refer to the Post
Office Locator.
Disclosure Packet: You will receive a packet of
information from the property manager that contains the
association governing documents. Please become familiar
with this information as it outlines the bylaws,
rules/regulations, architectural guidelines and association
financial statements.
